Jang Eun Lee: 'To Ji Yong-Ho, mutation is a necessary process required to optimally adapt to a modern civilisation. His 'Mutant' doesn't only represent Darwuinian evolution, but also a new living creature made of industrial waste, such as old tyres. Ji Yong-Ho feels attracted to abandoned tyres which mainly consist of rubber (a plant extract), because they have a story, developed from all the times they have been re-used and thrown away again.'
