Tang Zhigang

Tang had been painter in the Red Army for 20 years. The expressions on the children's faces, with only a couple of secure brushstrokes, show his long experience with portraying. The portraits Tang made in the Army were criticised because of the fact that the portraits were not social realist enough. Since then he visualizes his ironic view on people in meeting by depicting children behind the microphones.
